The Abigail Girls Bring Hope to Children in Foster Care

The 2026 Abigail Girls, along with several moms, had the opportunity to serve on mission at an Isaiah 117 House last month.

During their visit, they sorted clothing, school supplies, craft items, and books, cleaned the house, pulled weeds, and even painted rocks for the garden. It was a joy for them to serve alongside this ministry and support its mission.

Isaiah 117 House is dedicated to changing the way foster care begins. It provides a safe, welcoming home where children can rest, receive clean clothes, meals, and comfort from caring volunteers while they wait for a foster family or relative. This ministry also gives child welfare workers the time and space to focus on finding the best possible placement for each child. There are currently five Isaiah 117 Houses in Virginia.

As their mission project this year, the 2026 Abigail Girls are raising funds to support the startup of the Isaiah 117 House in Roanoke, Virginia.
